Crater Forest Tented Camp

A beautiful tented camp located on a highland coffee plantation at an altitude of 1800 m, at the edge of the Ngorongoro tropical forest. The camp is a 10 km adventurous drive away from the main road leading to the famous Ngorongoro Crater, offering you some nice views of the surrounding hills and coffee plantations.

Ikoma Tented Camp
North Central Serengeti

Set in the midst of an incredible scenery of savannah, you find Ikoma Tented Camp, sheltered in a grove of acacia trees. Here you will experience an ambiance of simplicity and rusticness.

The central restaurant and bar area boast a large campfire – an ideal spot to unwind with a chilled drink after a long day of exciting game viewing.

Lake Natron Tented Camp
Lake Natron

Wild and remote Lake Natron lies in the northeast of Tanzania in between the Ngorongoro Highlands and Serengeti plains.

Here it is the landscape rather than the animals that is the attraction – the area around the lake inhabited by Maasai is dry, desolate and hauntingly beautiful.

Migunga Tented Camp
Lake Manyara
Migunga Tented Camp is nestled in a quiet corner on the northwest of Lake Manyara. This is the ideal base camp to discover the beautiful surroundings of Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Park. The camp is only 5 minutes away from the entrance of Lake Manyara National Park.
Tindiga Tented Camp
Lake Eyasi
We are proud to present our Tindiga Tented Camp, a beautiful and small traditional camp. It is ideally situated only 1,5 km from the stunning Lake Eyasi, home to the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. The camp sits on a hill overlooking the shrubland of the Eyasi ecosystem, with Mount Masumbuku in the west and the distant hills of Ngorongoro in the north, giving the ultimate ‘African experience’.
Swahili House
The Swahili house was originally set up and used as an Indian merchant house in the 19th century. In the 125 years that followed the building became a home to one of the many Sultan families that inhabited Zanzibar. Most of the hotel has been restored into its original state, which makes your stay at The Swahili House a real Zanzibari experience!
Fumba Beach Lodge
Fumba Beach Lodge is a small scale, peaceful hideaway set on one of Zanzibar’s most secluded beaches. With only 26 free standing spacious cottages, the essence of Fumba Beach Lodge is privacy, space, relaxation, nature and attention to detail.
Unguja Beach Lodge

Unguja Beach Lodge lies on the southwest coast of Zanzibar, an ideal place to spot dolphins. With the large villa-like rooms, the lodge embraces peace and quiet with pristine beaches and lush green surroundings.

The story of Moivaro

The Moivaro Group was founded in 1999 by Mr. Gijs de Raadt in Tanzania. Gijs was born in Uganda, studied at the School of Tourism and graduated in African Studies. After his studies, Gijs traveled and worked in 14 African countries. During his travels he kept on wondering what the best way was to contribute to the development of a country. His answer; job creation. What started as a dream, with only 1 lodge and 4 jobs, has grown into a large company, with hundreds of employees on the payroll and a spin-off to the wider community. Over the years it has become our strong belief that providing the opportunity to learn, work, and grow is the best way to support the development of Tanzania. By staying at a Moivaro property, you can be assured to contribute to our wider mission of empowerment and poverty reduction.
