Set in the midst of an incredible scenery of savannah, you find Ikoma Tented Camp, sheltered in a grove of acacia trees. Simplicity and rusticness are the ambiance of the camp.
The central restaurant and bar area boast a large campfire – an ideal spot to unwind with a chilled drink after a long day of exciting game viewing.
Ikoma has 35 traditional Meru tents, each under thatch with a private veranda overlooking the impressive plains of the Serengeti. The camp is ideally situated at the border of the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, along the path of the migrating wildebeests between Kenya and Tanzania.
A walk in the wild
With Ikoma Tented Camp’s location just outside the national park boundary, we offer a special way of experiencing the bush by going on a walking safari or night game drive. Guided by a professional ranger and guard you discover the bush and its inhabitants at close range. A great way to start or end a day in the Serengeti, followed by a breakfast in the bush or a sundowner at the close of the day.

Experience a game drive in the dark! Safari by night is a totally new experience where you dive into the world of nocturnal animals. See what you can spot by flashlight, and hear the different sounds that come with nightfall.

Together with a guide you will be taken on a walk close to the tented camp. Here you can experience and observe the natural wildlife and vegetation by foot.
