A beautiful tented camp located on a highland coffee plantation at an altitude of 1800 m, at the edge of the Ngorongoro tropical forest. The camp is a 10 km adventurous drive away from the main road leading to the famous Ngorongoro Crater, offering you some nice views of the surrounding hills and coffee plantations.

Crater Forest Tented Camp is a small-scale eco-friendly camp with only 15 spacious tented rooms. There is an African-style fire pot in every room, to keep warm at night during chilly African winter times. The rooms are set on highly raised platforms, offering magnificent views over the Ngorongoro Forest. From your own veranda you can enjoy romantic sundowners or twilight dinners with the astonishing landscape.

Sleeping above the forest

Watch wildlife from your doorstep, like elephants roaming through the forest. Hear the lions roar, and listen to the magical sounds of the tropical night. It will be an experience you will never forget.

Day trip to Ngorongoro Crater

Visit one of the previous world's natural wonders ~ the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is over 20 km wide and approximately 600 m deep. The Crater is famous for the presence of the Big Five; buffalos, black rhinos, elephants, lions, and leopards. It also contains many other animals such as cheetahs, zebras, hippos, serval cats, lions, and wildebeest. A natural wonder you cannot miss!
