We are proud to present our Tindiga Tented Camp, a beautiful and small traditional camp. It is ideally situated only 1,5 km from the stunning Lake Eyasi. The camp sits on a hill overlooking the shrubland of the Eyasi Ecosystem, with Mount Masumbuku in the west and the distant hills of Ngorongoro in the north, giving the ultimate ‘African experience’.

This great landscape is home to the indigenous bushman, the Hadzabe, and the nomadic Datoga tribe. In fact this is the only place in Africa where you can go hunting with the Hadzabe, the last known tribe that lives by hunting and gathering honey and fruit.

With its 10 rooms, Tindiga Tented Camp offers personalized service and quality. It is run by an eco-friendly approach in order to protect and preserve natural resources. The camp is built with local materials, blending in beautifully with the natural environment. Particularly the restaurant is built by Datoga women, reflecting their culture and lifestyle.

Visit to the Hadzabe & Datoga tribes

The Hadzabe tribe is one of the last hunter gatherer tribes in Africa. At Tindiga you can visit the Lake Eyasi bushmen to experience their lifestyle. Learn about the hunters and gatherers, who will teach you how to hunt, make fire, natural remedies, and the vegetation around the area.

In addition you will visit the Datoga tribe. They are skilled and known for their blacksmithing, beadwork, brass bracelets and necklaces, as well as supplying the Hadzabe tribe with arrowheads.
