Welcome to KIA Lodge – your door to Tanzania – just under 5 minutes drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport. The lodge is situated on a secluded hill in the heart of beautiful savannah scenery that is so typical for East Africa. Guests can admire the vast views of the African plains and of course the grand Mount Kilimanjaro that shows her snowy top mostly in the morning and at sundown. With our 40 spacious rooms, we are ready to give you a warm welcome into Tanzania.

Because of its location, KIA Lodge is an ideal oasis for arriving and departing Tanzania, climbing the Kilimanjaro, or travelling on to the northern safari destinations. The friendly service, Zanzibar style reception, typical African decorations, and tropical restaurant offer a warm welcome into Tanzanian culture. Drink a Kilimanjaro beer at the open bar, enjoy the rich species of birds in the savannah garden, or relax at our hilltop swimming pool with great views of Mt Kilimanjaro, Mt Meru, and the Maasai plains all around.

*This activity is only available in Arusha National Park and Ikoma area in the Serengeti.

Day trip to Tarangire National Park

Visit one of the beautiful national parks around the area. Tarangire National Park is known as the home of elephants and the beautiful baobab trees. But of course there is much more to see! Explore the lush environment of the national park and all the wildlife it has to offer.

Day trip to Lake Manyara National Park

Visit one of the beautiful national parks around the area. Here you can spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, buffaloes, countless birds, and much more! Lake Manyara National Park is known for its tree climbing lions, flamingo's, and large elephant herds that roam around the park.

Day trip to Arusha National Park

Visit one of the smallest but lovely national parks in Tanzania. A day trip includes a visit to the Ngurudoto Crater, also known as 'Little Ngorongoro Crater', as well as Momela Lake where you can find a wide range of bird species. Experience a walking safari with a professional ranger to walk amongst the wildlife.

Town visit of Arusha or Moshi with local guide

Spend a day in Arusha or Moshi town. You can visit the highlights, walk along the streets, and of course a great chance to pass by a souvenir market for any gifts back home. We can cater the trip according to your interests and preferences.

In Moshi, you can visit the Materuni waterfalls and get a chance to walk around a coffee farm and village.
