Activities

Che Che Vule is only a 20 minute boat ride from Mnemba island with the surrounding Mnemba atoll which is world famous for it's great dive sites and good snorkeling. Lucky ones can spot migrating humpback whales during July-September and whale sharks from November-January. Sea turtles mostly green turtles and hawksbill are there all year. And dolphins of course play around Mnemba island daily.

Diving: Our guests are being picked up right at the beach in front of the villa by a professional PADI dive company. There are several excellent dive spots around the Mnemba atoll and for the ones that have never been diving before they can also do all dive courses offered by PADI.

Snorkelling: Mnemba atoll has a picture book under water scenery. We have a few local captains from the nearby vilage who will take you to Mnemba in a traditional zanzibarian dhow equiped with out board engines, life jackets and a sun roof. Our cook will provide a lunch box if you plan to stay out for a full day which is great for swimming in the cristall clear water, sun bathing and enjoying the picnic.

Sailing: Matemwe village is famous for it's big fleet of ngalawas (dug outs with an outrigger and a sail) used by the local fishermen. Sailing in one of those boats is a truly unique experience and we happily arrange a trip for you. The boat comes with a captain and one additional crew member. It's not very comfortable but lot's of fun!

Fishing You can go out with the local fishermen equiped with bait and a hand line to fish for smaller reef fish or if you want to go for the big ones like sail fish, dorado, king fish, marlin and tuna we can arrange a half hour transfer to Nungwi up North where you can fish in the Pemba channel on a professional deep sea fishing boat equiped with everything a fisherman can dream of.

Stobe Town: An hour drive will get you there and a pick up can be organized. Take a guided tour through historical Stone Town and see the Sultan's Palace, the Old Fort, House of Wonders, etc. Or just get lost and browse through the alleys, shop till you drop, have a snack and a drink in the plenty restaurants and cafes left and right.
